Posters
We were assigned a theme that we had to include in our product. Our team was given: Building respect for diversity and removing barriers to racial and social equity and to empower those communities.
My team and I decided to make a campaign with posters, promotional videos and a website. One of my teamates, Samia Shaikh, is the content designer for Wellfare Avenue, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to work towards the advancement and inclusion of low-income and unhoused individuals. She suggested that we make a campaign with them that focuses on the theme we were given.
The 1st Years: Samia, Kurt, Myriam and Me. The 2nd Years: Constance, Jasper, and Ramanah. The 3rd Years: Brandon and Lara.
My team and I chose two Capiskills. They are NGE.3.1: Interact and participate effectivaly with others, and HOS.1.1: Manage tasks and deadlines. As a team, it was important to be able to communicate our ideas in a respectful and clear way due to the nature of the project and it was important to manage our time effectively to meet the deadline.
I'd say that the team started at a level 10 for HOS.1.1 and a level 6 for NGE.3.1.From the start everyone was ready to do their part and to do it on time. We helped eachother with any issues we had to be able to meet the deadline which ended up helping us. However, we did have some issues with NGE.3.1. We had some disagreements on how to approach the project and how to present it. We were able to resolve it by talking it out and coming to a compromise.
I'd say that we ended at a level 11 for HOS.1.1 and a level 8 for NGE.3.1. We maintained our discipline for our time management and as the project went on our communication skills got better with eachtother.
